What to Expect
- Schedule Your Consultation
- All cancer patients must undergo at least a 60 minute consultation with the physician. Prior to your meeting, we need to have received your intake forms and previous medical information, especially if you are already working with an oncologist and/or receiving care elsewhere. Once an appointment is booked, you’ll receive the option to send information through our secure patient portal.
- Consultation and Next Steps
- After the initial consultation, you’ll receive an interim treatment plan within 48 hours of your consultation. Within the next few weeks, you’ll have a follow up appointment with the doctor (included in consultation fee) to discuss additional lab results and your supplements may change and additional treatment recommendations may be made.
- Treatment Begins
- Although your program begins immediately after the consultation, some services that require advanced lab testing occur within 4-6 weeks of your initial visit. However, the timing of our personalized services with RGCC depends on several factors that will be explained to you at the time of consultation.
- Ongoing Support and Communication
- Our clinical team is with you every step of the way. Our health coaches, nurses and admin staff can be contacted throughout your time with us. We are happy to work with additional providers and conventional oncologists throughout this process. To start the communication process, please have them fax us.
Frequently Asked Questions — Cancer Support & Testing
1. What does cancer support at the Upper Room Clinic include?
We offer a comprehensive, integrative approach that may include high-dose IV nutrients, oxidative therapies, RGCC cancer testing, tumour genetic expression analysis, immune support, metabolic therapies, and personalized treatment programs. All care is based on your cancer type, stage, genetics, and goals.
2. Do I need a consultation before starting treatment?
Yes. All cancer patients begin with a 60-minute physician consultation. This allows us to review your history, current treatments, lab work, imaging, and oncology team’s plan before building your personalized program.
3. What information do I need to provide before my consultation?
Intake forms, recent labs, imaging, pathology reports, current treatment summaries, and any relevant oncology notes. Once your appointment is booked, you can upload these through our secure patient portal.
4. What happens after the initial consultation?
You’ll receive an interim treatment plan within 48 hours, followed by a scheduled follow-up visit to review additional lab results. Your supplements, IV therapies, and program details may be adjusted as your cancer markers and clinical picture evolve.
5. How does genetic cancer testing work?
We offer RGCC tests and tumour genetic expression analysis to understand how your cancer behaves, how it evolves over time, and which natural or integrative treatments are most effective for your unique profile. These tests guide your personalized program and help track progress.
6. What is metabolic or oxidative cancer support?
These therapies—including ozone, EBOO, high-dose vitamin C, and mitochondrial IVs—are used to support immune function, promote cellular balance, reduce oxidative stress, and influence the metabolic environment in which cancer grows.
7. Does the Upper Room Clinic replace my oncologist?
No. We do not replace conventional oncology care. We work collaboratively with your entire care team. With your permission, we communicate with oncologists and other providers to ensure your plan is safe, supportive, and aligned.
8. Can you help me decide which service to book?
Yes. If you’re unsure where to start, we can help you choose the right consultation at the Upper Room Clinic based on your goals—prevention, active cancer support, or genetic testing.
9. How long does it take to begin treatment?
Treatment begins immediately after your consultation, but some advanced testing requires 4–6 weeks for processing. Once results are back, your program is refined to match your cancer’s genetic expression and ongoing response.
10. Do you offer support if I’m only seeking prevention?
Absolutely. We provide cancer risk assessment, genetic testing, metabolic support, and prevention programs designed to strengthen immunity, reduce risk, and optimize the internal environment long before cancer develops or returns.
11. Do you only treat patients who want integrative therapies?
We support all patients—those using conventional oncology alone, integrative approaches, or both. Our philosophy is grounded in choice, autonomy, and informed decision-making.
12. Are these services available in both Toronto and Oakville?
Yes. Cancer prevention, support, and genetic testing are offered at both of our clinic locations for patient convenience.
