Mitochondria Renew

Deep-dive program for chronic fatigue, brain fog, and energy decline at Upper Room Clinic Toronto — mitochondrial testing plus NAD+, alpha-lipoic acid, glutathione IVs, and lifestyle integration over 12–24 weeks.

Program Based Memberships

The Mitochondria Renew Program is the Upper Room Clinic deep-dive protocol for patients whose energy, recovery, and cellular function suggest mitochondrial dysfunction. Whether the root is post-viral, chronic inflammation, age-related decline, environmental burden, or unexplained fatigue, mitochondria are central to feeling well — and central to most integrative recovery plans.

Why mitochondria matter

Mitochondria are the energy-producing organelles inside every cell, generating ATP — the molecule the body uses to power everything from muscle contraction to brain function. When mitochondria underperform, the symptoms cascade: fatigue, brain fog, slow recovery, reduced exercise tolerance, mood changes, sleep disruption. Mitochondrial dysfunction is implicated in chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, long COVID, post-chemotherapy fatigue, neurodegenerative conditions, and the general decline of aging.

Mitochondria can be tested for, supported, and, in many cases, restored.

What's in the program

  • Mitochondrial-focused testing — organic acids (urine), CoQ10, carnitine, B-vitamins, magnesium, vitamin D, oxidative-stress markers, and (where indicated) advanced mitochondrial profiles
  • NAD+ IV Therapy — direct support for the cellular energy currency, with multiple session protocols
  • Alpha-Lipoic Acid IV — antioxidant and mitochondrial cofactor
  • Glutathione IV — protects mitochondria from oxidative stress
  • High-dose vitamin and amino-acid IV protocols — B-complex, magnesium, taurine, and other mitochondrial cofactors
  • HOCATT and Red Light support — supportive modalities targeting cellular oxygenation and photobiomodulation
  • Targeted oral support — CoQ10, PQQ, carnitine, magnesium, and B-vitamin support
  • Lifestyle integration — sleep, circadian alignment, exercise dosing, and toxic-load reduction
  • Repeat testing to confirm response

Who this is for

  • Chronic fatigue, ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, post-viral fatigue (including long COVID)
  • Athletes recovering from overtraining, illness, or aging-related performance decline
  • Cognitive complaints — brain fog, slow processing, post-chemotherapy cognitive symptoms
  • Healthy aging patients prioritizing mitochondrial health for longevity
  • Patients in detox or chronic-infection recovery where energy is the limiting factor

Who shouldn't enroll

Active acute illness requiring primary-care or specialist management first, certain advanced cardiovascular conditions, severe psychiatric conditions requiring psychiatric stabilization first, pregnancy. We coordinate with specialists as needed.

What to expect

Consultation, baseline testing (1–2 weeks), then 12–24 weeks of sequenced therapy and lifestyle support. Most patients notice meaningful change within 4–10 weeks; chronic mitochondrial conditions often require longer arcs and may benefit from maintenance cycles.
