Phosphatidylcholine (Plaquex) IV Therapy

Cell-membrane repair, vascular support, and liver protection through targeted phospholipid infusion. Phosphatidylcholine (PC) is one of the main building blocks of every cell membrane in your body. Over time, toxins, high blood sugar, stress, and inflammation damage these membranes, making cells rigid, inflamed, and less efficient. Plaquex® IV Therapy delivers medical-grade phosphatidylcholine directly into the bloodstream to help repair damaged membranes, improve circulation, and support liver and metabolic health.

What is it?

Phosphatidylcholine (often abbreviated PPC or PTC) is an essential phospholipid that makes up a large portion of the outer layer of every cell. Healthy levels help keep membranes flexible, support signaling between cells, and regulate how fats, cholesterol, and toxins move in and out of tissues.

Plaquex® is a specific, medical-grade formulation of polyenylphosphatidylcholine used intravenously to support vascular health, liver repair, and membrane regeneration. Administered through an IV, it can reach therapeutic levels not possible with oral supplements, helping to:

  • Improve cell-membrane structure and function
  • Support removal of oxidized fats and cholesterol from blood vessel walls
  • Protect and regenerate liver cells in metabolic and fatty liver disease

Plaquex® is used worldwide in integrative and metabolic clinics as part of cardiovascular, liver, and longevity programs.

The Benefits

Research on PTC suggests multiple potential benefits:

  • Supports cardiovascular and vascular health – may improve endothelial function, reduce arterial stiffness, and assist with the removal of oxidized lipids from vessel walls.
  • Hepatoprotective (liver-protective) effects – essential phospholipids rich in phosphatidylcholine have shown benefit in NAFLD, alcoholic liver disease, and drug-induced liver injury.
  • Improves membrane fluidity and cellular communication – helps restore the integrity and flexibility of cell membranes, supporting overall metabolic and mitochondrial function.
  • May reduce inflammation and oxidative stress by modulating cytokine production and lipid oxidation.
  • Supports cholesterol and lipid metabolism, complementing nutrition and lifestyle strategies.
  • Adjunctive support in detox and longevity programs, often paired with chelation and ozone therapy.

(As with all integrative therapies, individual results vary and Plaquex® is used as supportive care, not as a stand-alone cure for disease.)

Before Treatment

Book a consultation and upload your recent lab work, imaging, and medication list through our secure portal. Because Plaquex® is often used in cardiovascular and liver protocols, we review your history carefully before starting.

During your consultation, your physician will discuss your symptoms, cardiovascular and liver risk factors, and overall health goals. We will review any existing diagnoses (such as NAFLD, elevated cholesterol, or circulation issues) and determine whether Plaquex® IV Therapy is suitable and safe for you.

You’ll receive a personalized treatment plan, including the number of recommended infusions (often 8–20 sessions in a course), frequency of visits, and any complementary therapies (such as chelation, ozone, or lifestyle interventions).

You may be asked to eat a light meal and hydrate well prior to your infusion. Certain medications, kidney function, and liver function tests may be reviewed before starting therapy.

During Treatment

A Plaquex® infusion typically lasts 60–120 minutes, depending on your dose and tolerance. The medication is administered slowly through an IV drip. Most patients relax, read, or work on a laptop during the session. Mild warmth or a brief drop in blood pressure can occur if the infusion runs too quickly; slowing the rate usually resolves this. Some patients experience loose stools later that day, reflecting its lipid-modulating and bile-supportive effects. A full course is usually delivered over several weeks or months, with re-evaluation at set intervals.
