PRP with Advanced Visual Guidance

The most precise PRP injections available in Toronto and Oakville — performed under real-time ultrasound. At The Upper Room Clinic, we offer a specialized form of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy: PRP with Advanced Visual Guidance, a technique that combines real-time ultrasound imaging to deliver regenerative injections with unmatched precision.

We are the only clinic in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) offering this advanced PRP delivery method across joints, spine, ligaments, tendons, nerves, and deep musculoskeletal structures. This allows us to treat conditions that standard PRP clinics cannot safely reach, including intradiscal injections, SI joint injections, nerve root targets, deep hip injections, labral structures, and complex tendon/ligament insertions.

How Does It Work?

PRP with Advanced Visual Guidance uses the same high-quality platelet concentrate as standard PRP therapy — but the delivery method is elevated to a medical standard typically found only in interventional pain and regenerative medicine practices.

Using:

  • Ultrasound imaging to visualize soft tissues (tendons, ligaments, nerves, fascia, muscle)

…your clinician places PRP exactly where the tissue needs it — with millimeter-level accuracy.

This ensures:

  • More effective healing
  • Better tissue penetration
  • Optimal outcomes in complex or chronic injuries
  • Access to treatment areas unreachable by blind or palpation-guided methods
  • More predictable regenerative results

This level of precision is critical for spine, nerve, and deep joint injections — and is the reason our clinic sees outcomes that surpass standard PRP therapy.

The Benefits

Advanced Visual Guidance PRP offers all the healing benefits of PRP, with the added advantage of perfect placement:

  • Targets the exact injured structure
  • Ensures delivery into the correct tissue plane
  • Minimizes discomfort and maximizes safety
  • Reduces risk of incomplete healing
  • Improves regenerative outcomes in chronic or severe injuries
  • Allows treatment of deep or complex anatomy
  • Ideal for patients who failed standard PRP or physiotherapy

Because the injection is guided live on screen, we can deliver PRP to intradiscal tissue, nerve roots, deep hip joints, and ligament insertions that traditional clinics cannot access.

FOLLOW-UP

You’ll meet with a regenerative medicine specialist who will review your injury, health history, or hair loss concerns. Submit imaging, if you have any, upon booking consultation. If you don’t have imaging the doctor can requisition it. We will guide you on how to prepare—hydration, medication adjustments, and nutrition.

A small blood sample is collected and processed to create concentrated PRP. This takes about 15–20 minutes.

A local anesthetic may be used to help maximize comfort during treatment and prolotherapy may be combined to optimize the effects. PRP is then carefully injected into the targeted area using anatomical landmarks or ultrasound-guided precision when indicated, or upon request. Most treatments are completed within 5 to 10 minutes with the total appointment time being around 60 minutes.

Your healing journey continues beyond the day of treatment. As PRP supports your body’s regenerative processes over time, our team will follow up with you by phone at months 3 and 4 after your procedure to assess your progress, review your results, and determine whether an additional treatment may help optimize your outcome.

During Treatment

A full PRP appointment takes about 45 minutes. Mild pressure or ache during injection is normal and expected. Some soreness can last 1–3 days as the healing response is activated. Tissue regeneration continues for 6–12 weeks, with ongoing improvement over time. You’ll receive post-treatment guidelines, including activity modification and supplements that support collagen-building and recovery.

This allows us to treat:

  • Injuries too deep for typical PRP clinics
  • Spinal discs & nerve roots
  • Advanced joint degeneration
  • Complex ligament or tendon tears
  • Labral and capsular structures
  • Neuropathic pain generators
  • Our regenerative physicians provide:
  • Decades of experience in advanced injection techniques
  • High-concentration PRP systems
  • Comprehensive assessment and follow-up
  • Integrative support (IV therapy, metabolic support, tissue healing protocols)
  • A gentle, patient-centered approach

This is medical-grade PRP, not cosmetic or wellness-clinic PRP and the results speak for themselves.
