Cingal Injection

Cingal is a single-injection knee treatment combining cross-linked hyaluronic acid with the corticosteroid triamcinolone hexacetonide. It's designed to provide both fast-onset pain relief from the steroid component and longer-acting joint cushioning from the hyaluronic acid component, in a single visit.

What it treats

Cingal is approved for symptomatic relief of pain associated with osteoarthritis of the knee. It is not a regenerative therapy — it is a symptom-management injection.

How it differs from other knee injection options

Cortisone alone — fast pain relief, limited duration (weeks to a couple of months)
Hyaluronic acid (HA) alone — slower onset, longer-lasting cushioning

Who shouldn't have Cingal

During Treatment

A Cingal injection takes 15–20 minutes including positioning and sterile prep. Some patients feel relief within days; the steroid effect is typically apparent quickly, while the hyaluronic acid component contributes to longer-lasting comfort.
