Chronic Infection Support

Targeted, integrative care for persistent infections that conventional medicine has failed to resolve — serving Toronto and Oakville.

What Is It?

Chronic infections are infections that persist—or repeatedly reactivate—despite standard antibiotic or antiviral treatment. Whether caused by intracellular bacteria like Borrelia (Lyme disease), latent viruses like Epstein-Barr (EBV), Cytomegalovirus (CMV), or HHV-6, or co-infections like Bartonella and Babesia, these pathogens evade the immune system, hide within cells, and drive a cycle of inflammation, fatigue, and immune exhaustion that can last for years.

At the Upper Room Clinic, we use  precision diagnostics, immune-modulating therapies, and targeted gene-silencing treatments to identify the pathogens driving your symptoms and create a personalized protocol to reduce or eradicate your viral load.

The Benefits

  • Understands the nuances of treating patients with multiple infections.
  • Targets viral and bacterial replication using gene-silencing therapies unavailable through conventional medicine.
  • Help to modulate and reinvigorate the immune system to fight long-standing infections more effectively.
  • Reduces chronic inflammation, immune exhaustion, and oxidative stress caused by persistent pathogen burden.
  • Supports whole-body recovery—energy, cognitive function, immune resilience, and quality of life.
  • Integrates multiple synergistic therapies—SOT, ozone, UVBI, High Dose Vitamin C, and NAD+—for a comprehensive approach.

Conditions It Can Help With

  • Chronic Lyme disease and persistent tick-borne co-infections (Bartonella, Babesia, Ehrlichia)
  • Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) reactivation and chronic mononucleosis
  • Cytomegalovirus (CMV), HHV-6, and human herpesvirus reactivation
  • Herpes simplex (HSV-1, HSV-2) recurrent and chronic infection
  • Post-viral and post-COVID long-haul syndrome
  • Chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) with identified infectious drivers
  • Viral-driven autoimmune conditions and immune dysregulation
  • Mold illness and chronic inflammatory response syndrome (CIRS)

What to Expect

Intake
60-Minute Consultation
Treatment & Monitoring

During the intake process, we will send you an intake form to outline your medical history, previous test results, and any prior treatment records. If you have existing lab work — including standard bloodwork, viral titres, or Lyme testing– please upload via our secure portal.

You'll have a dedicated 30 minute or one-hour consultation with Dr. Kostovic to review your symptoms, timeline, previous treatments, and functional health status. The physician will order targeted diagnostics — including RGCC testing, viral panels, immune function markers, and inflammatory indices — to precisely identify active pathogens and immune dysfunction driving your condition.

Your personalized treatment plan may include SOT Therapy, EBOO, UV Blood Irradiation, High Dose Vitamin C, NAD+ IV, and ozone protocols — layered strategically to reduce pathogen load, restore immune function, and support cellular recovery. We monitor your response with repeat testing and adjust the protocol as your health improves over time.

During Treatment

Chronic infection protocols at Upper Room typically involve a combination of therapies administered over multiple visits. SOT Therapy — a personalized gene-silencing IV — provides 3–6 months of continuous anti-pathogen action after a single infusion. EBOO ozonates the blood extracorporeally to inactivate pathogens directly. High Dose Vitamin C and NAD+ IV support immune function and mitochondrial recovery. UV Blood Irradiation delivers broad-spectrum antimicrobial action without antibiotics. Most treatments take between 30–120 minutes and are performed comfortably in the clinic with minimal downtime.
